 
Sing 'n' Joy International Choral Festival and Competition
November 28 - December 1, 2013
Christmas at the Galt House Hotel is proud to announce a new international event that will bring groups from across the world to Louisville, Kentucky USA over Thanksgiving Weekend. Sing 'n' Joy International Choral Festival and Competition Presented by Christmas at the Galt House Hotel will bring a magical experience for choirs and spectators. The event, November 28 through December 1, 2013 is the first time INTERKULTUR has hosted a Sing 'n' Joy event in the United States.
Guests have a unique opportunity to take in the passion and commitment these choirs exude and to experience the entertainment and cultural value choirs bring with them. Choirs will perform traditional songs from their home countries, as well as classics, holiday songs and more. Spectators can watch choirs at Friendship Concerts and on the Festival Stage. Some of the concerts are free to the public and some are ticketed.
Choirs can customize their experience by mixing and matching competitive and non-competitive events. Categories include Champion level choirs; children's and youth choirs; alternative learners; pop, gospel and jazz; spiritual; and barbershop groups. Dr. Kent Hatteberg, conductor for the world-ranked University of Louisville Cardinal Singers, will serve as U.S. Artistic Director and will conduct a choral-orchestral masterwork during the Closing Ceremony Concert.
INTERKULTUR coordinated the World Choir Games in Cincinnati in July 2012 to extraordinary success. Sing 'n' Joy Louisville will serve as a qualifying event for choirs seeking to participate in Champions Competition in either a continental event or the World Choir Games.

Toy Soldier Bellmen Countdown to Christmas Dance
The Galt House Hotel Bellmen have been transformed into Toy Soldiers for the holiday season. Every day at 5 o'clock, they perform the Countdown to Christmas Dance in the Galt House Hotel Suite Tower Lobby. Immediately following their dance, they turn the page on the Countdown to Christmas book to keep Santa on schedule so that his big night is on track and he can deliver presents to all the boys and girls around the world.
